Among the different possible upper secondary options to prepare for postsecondary studies, the school offer the Arts Track. This option has two different lines:
- Plastic arts, image and design
- Scenic arts, music and dance.
Besides being granted a High School Diploma, pupils who pass all the subjects will have learnt all the necessary skills to enter a Higher Level Vocational Training course. They will also have priority to study courses in the Plastic Arts and Design schools (after passing an entrance exam), as well as higher studies in music, dance, and dramatic arts.
These studies give also access to university studies, with the condition that students pass the University Entrance Exam. At this level, art pupils will have priority at several university courses as Fine Arts, Librarianship and Information Science, Journalism, Media and Communications, Philosophy, Art History and Industrial Design Engineering, among others.
At the same time, pupils who complete these studies can also find a job connected with the arts, including photography, advertising, fashion and general design, publishing, etc.

Scenic arts, music and dance line
|
Besides the Plastic Arts line, taught at this High School since the 1995-1996 scholar year, from the 2009-2010 year, the Antonio Machado high school is the first school in the East Madrid Area to implement this new Scenic arts, Music and Dance line.
This is a new option for students completing the Compulsory Secondary Education that allows them to choose from a wider range of possibilities within the artistic field, now limited to the Plastic arts, image and design line taught at high schools and art schools.
The "Scenic Arts, Music and Dance" line represents a real innovation within the upper secondary education in Spain, as it introduces a new option which no schools offered so far in our education system and it will facilitate the equivalence of studies with the specific learning of music at a professional level.
| The subjects included in this line of studies are related to performing arts, music history, analysis and aesthetics, as well as the scientific principles of movement and dance and the audiovisual world.
