Antonio Machado Secondary School Since 2005 our school has joined the European Language Portfolio (PEL). The first years, a French teacher and three English teachers carried out a portfolio experience with CSE students. During the second year most teachers in the English department and some from the French department took part in a training course on the ELP in order to learn the basic concepts and to implement ELP activities for different language levels. In the 2009-2010 school year, activities with ELP were included in the English Language Syllabus and there was a joint work experience with the French Department. During the month of September these departments organize the European Day of the Languages, to remind pupils of the rich variety of cultures and languages in the European Union and in our own school, where a great number of students or their families come from other countries. Among the European education programs the school has taken part in are Etwinning, Young Minds or Comenius. “ARE WE SO DIFFERENT? / Y TÚ ¿CÓMO VIVES?” As a result of the joint work with pupils from Verzlunarskóli school in Reykjavik (Iceland) organized by our English Department within the subject Oral Skills Development (Ampliación)in the 1st year of upper secondary, using the “Etwinning” platform, a Comenius Bilateral Project was granted to our school. EUROPEAN QUALITY LABELS For some years, a group of teachers from the English and Philosophy Departments took part in two ETWINNING PROJECTS. A first project called “One Family, Three Generations” in collaboration with the Jonavos rajono Žeimiu vidurine mokykla high school in Lithuania, which received the eTwinning Quality Label. A second project called “Are we so different? / Y tú,¿Cómo vives?” with the Verzlunarskóli school from Reykjavik (Iceland)), also received the eTwinning Quality Label. | Viaje de estudios a Dublín 2011. | |
Entre el 7 y el 12 de abril 2011 un grupo de 29 alumnos de 1º bachillerato y dos profesoras de inglés han hecho un viaje de estudios a Dublín. Los alumnos participantes elaboraron presentaciones en powerpoint sobre los distintos lugares que íbamos a visitar en preparación del viaje, y, una vez allí, hicieron de guías unos a otros. El viaje transcurrió sin problemas y fue una experiencia inolvidable para todos, alumnos y profesoras. A continuación pueden ver algunas de las presentaciones preparadas por los alumnos. VIAJE DE ESTUDIOS A DUBLÍN 7-12 ABRIL 2011-01-31
Los alumnos que participan en dicho viaje, organizados en equipos, tienen que hacer una Treasure Hunt en preparación del mismo y para servir de guías unos a otros. Asimismo, escribirán un Diario de a bordo para publicarlo en esta página y para compartir su experiencia con los alumnos que no han participado en el viaje. | INTERCAMBIO CON EL GiMNAZIJA SKOFJA LOKA DE ESLOVENIA | |
INTERCAMBIO CON EL GiMNAZIJA SKOFJA LOKA DE ESLOVENIA 19-27 junio 2011 Siguiendo la línea de intercambios y proyectos internacionales iniciada hace varios años por el Departamento de Inglés, se va a realizar el próximo mes de junio la primera parte de un intercambio con 16 alumnos y dos profesoras del Gimnazija Skofja Loka de Eslovenia. Los alumnos eslovenos nos visitarán durante el próximo mes de octubre.
En preparación de este intercambio, los alumnos en ambos centros realizarán un proyecto etwinning trilingüe llamado Visit my country, learn my language. Let’s meet / Ven a mi país, aprende mi lengua. Conozcámonos. En él se usarán el inglés y el español como lenguas vehiculares y los alumnos españoles aprenderán unas nociones de esloveno para comunicarse en el país durante su visita. |
