What is it?
This project follows the European Union directives which recommend the learning of two foreign languages by European Citizens, apart from their own language.
The Bilingual French-Spanish Section constitutes an innovative project implemented in 12 Schools in the 2006-2007 school year. TheAntonio Machado is the only High School in Alcalá de Henares that takes part in this project.
Bilingual Sections in Spain follow the model of European Bilingual Sections in which French is used as a learning language in some subjects at the same time that they try to cater for:
- Linguistic and cultural diversity in Europe.
- The increase of high school exchange programs.
- Collaboration with European Educational Programs.
- Professional mobility of teachers.
